Charities

Estero-Gulf Coast Kiwanis Club was started in the third quarter of 2004 and was officially chartered on February 24th 2005.  Since that time the club has raised over $100,000 for charities in the SW Florida area.

This year's "TASTE OF ESTERO" will be dedicated to supporting the "JOE COLLER Memorial Endowment and Scholarship  Fund" (see below) and local charities for the fulfillment of the needs of the Children of Our Community.

Congratulations to Sarah M. (from Estero) for earning the Joseph Coller Scholarship from our 2009 "
Taste of Estero" event.

Memorial Scholarship
Fund
This is a continuing fund for our friend and fellow member, Joe Coller.  Joe was a founding/charter member of our club and was a well known promoter at FGCU in its early years.  We lost him in 2005 but while he was with us he brought a lot of joy and enthusiasm to our club and contributed greatly to the success we enjoy today.  We formed the Joseph Coller Memorial Endowment Foundation at FGCU in memory of his participation, and are granting scholarships to students living in our local area.
